Scary Season

Many people celebrate holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Kwanza etc. Although these holidays are really different, they have a few things in common. For example, most holidays people decorate, spend time with family, and dress up.
A very popular holiday is Halloween. Many people celebrate it. You dress up as your favorite character and knock on peoples doors and get candy. It started with people lighting bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1st as a time to honor all saints.
I interviewed Kariliz Blanco from UPMS to get her opinion on Halloween. She’s celebrated Halloween since she was little. She likes it because she gets to spend time with friends and family and get candy. Halloween was a few days ago and she was a clown. Her favorite candy are Snickers. Since she likes Halloween I wondered what is something she didn’t like so i asked what her least favorite thing about Halloween is and she said the fact thats theres school the next day. Her favorite holiday other than Halloween is Christmas. Three things Kariliz thinks about when you say Halloween haunted houses, candy, and costumes. She rates Halloween a 9/10, her favorite part are the haunted houses.

What Do People Do For The Holidays?

The holidays are really important to people that go to Union park middle school.
The holidays that are being speaking about are Christmas ,Thanksgiving ,Halloween and Hanukkah.
For the holidays Leyan just stays home, he would sometimes visit his family for the holidays.
Leyans favorite holiday is Christmas is second favorite is Halloween and third is Thanksgiving. Leyan doesn’t celebrate Hanukkah for the holidays he likes to eat turkey and ham is favorite food for the holidays is pie. For Christmas he wants clothes, shoe and money. Leyan does celebrate Halloween for the holiday. Leyan would like to go to Cuba.
All About The Holidays

The holidays have been around for many years and lots of people love the holidays.
There are a lot of holidays to talk about, but today is going to be focused on two holidays a small bit of Halloween and Christmas. Halloween is the day/night that kids, teens, and adults all around the world get to dress up as many things and kids all around get to go as far as they can go to get candy. Christmas is a holiday where families get to come together and give each other gifts and spend time together. Both holidays are really popular because of the things kids can get. Lots of kids enjoy these holidays and that’s the reason why they are going to be talked about today.
Maria is an 8th grader and is a student at Union Park Middle School. Maria is in the schools news for “Maria’s spontaneous stuff.” Maria is able to help anyone when she sees someone down in the dumps. She is funny and tends to joke around.
Maria’s favorite holiday is Halloween and she likes to dress up as a furry. Her favorite season is winter which is my favorite as well. She likes to celebrate Christmas with her family and celebrates it at home. Maria likes to celebrate Christmas in many ways. Maria does ask for gifts and she gets her family gifts as well specifically things they like. Maria is not sure what her best Christmas experience is but what she likes about the holidays is sleeping.
So to wrap it up Christmas and Halloween are two holidays that almost everyone is excited before. These holidays are some of the best and everyone must be excited for the next holiday.

Holidays are the best time to get festive and hang with family.
One of the most well known holidays are Christmas,Thanksgiving, and Halloween. Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. One way people celebrate christmas is by buying a christmas tree and then putting gifts under the tree for friends and family. Halloween is a holiday where people dress up and go out to get candy this is called trick or treating this is a day where you can go out with friends and family. Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in Canada, the United States, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. It began as a day of giving thanks and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.
I have interviewed my friend Lukas Braggs and asked him ten questions about the holidays and what he likes and what he does during the holidays.
Lukas likes Christmas and Halloween, the reason why he likes christmas is because ‘’I get free stuff and it’s good for the family’’ And Lukas likes halloween because “ it’s fun to dress up”. I asked Lukas if he has gone somewhere or stood home for the holidays and if he went somewhere for the holidays? He said “West virginia, St.Augustine, Carolina”. I asked Lukas if he has any least liked holidays he said “easter because it sucks” Lukas eats turkey and ham during the holidays. When asked if Lukas has any holidays he does not celebrate for a reason he said Hanukkah. Lukas puts up decor for christmas and halloween also thanksgiving. Lukas travels 40% of the time for the holidays. Lukas visits people on the holidays. When I asked Lukas if he has any memories for the holidays he said he does not have any.
